  • I am thrilled to join such an innovative

one of the world's leading providers of digital and mobile advertising technology, today announced the opening of its first office in Germany as part of the Company's continuing international expansion. Across the German-speaking markets, the new Munich office will provide support for publishers to maximize revenue and help advertisers reach their audiences at scale. OpenX also announced the appointment of digital media industry executive Dimo Velev to the newly-created position of Regional Director DACH, OpenX GmbH. Velev will lead the efforts to increase awareness and adoption of OpenX, with a focus on strategic partnerships, marketing, sales and general operations within the region.

The OpenX monetization platform combines a massive Real-Time Bidding (RTB) digital marketplace for the trading of advertising space and breakthrough ad serving technology on a global scale. OpenX Ad Exchange is the Company's online marketplace in which publishers and advertisers buy and sell this available ad inventory in real-time. With the launch of its exchange in May 2009, OpenX became a pioneer of RTB. The OpenX marketplace includes Supply Side Platform technology, which further maximizes the yield for online publishers. The OpenX Ad Server is Software as a Service technology that stores the finalized digital banner and video advertisements, which are displayed in available advertising spaces when a user opens a website page. Earlier this year, OpenX introduced its new Revenue Intelligence product that provides digital media companies with a groundbreaking approach to revenue management, combining content valuation and ad monetization.

In his new role, Velev will be responsible for ramping up OpenX Ad Exchange in Germany with inventory supplied by German publishers and demand for that inventory from German buyers. Velev's priorities also include bringing OpenX Ad Server to enterprise publishers in Germany, introducing the concept of Revenue Intelligence and building an OpenX team dedicated to serving the DACH market. He joins OpenX with significant leadership experience in the digital and mobile advertising sectors. Previously,Our managed dedicated server are designed to meet the most demanding requirements for performance, Velev served as Head of Business Development,Integrating your Promotion Dedicated Server business solutions. "The dynamic, entrepreneurial environment of OpenX will enable me to expand the business on an international level, especially evangelizing Real-Time Bidding in Germany. I'm looking forward to building upon OpenX's strong performance and to continuing its record of robust growth."

The German market is home to the second largest online population in Europe - after Russia - and it is still growing. A recent report by comScore revealed that 57.4 million people in Germany access the Internet via a personal computer or laptop, spending more than 24 hours per visitor online during a month.1 According to a current study by eMarketer, Germany is also the second-place spender in Western Europe, following the UK market with $5.65 billion in digital ad spending this year, which represents a 12 percent growth rate compared with 2012.our standard Customized Dedicated Server may not always.2 It thus represents an important market for OpenX.

"The DACH market is one of the strongest contributors to ad spending growth in Europe and we're excited to bring OpenX's technology to the region," said Jason Fairchild, Chief Revenue Officer, OpenX. "We're also extremely pleased to have Dimo lead our DACH efforts given his deep experience in business development and knowledge of the digital and advertising sector. Dimo's appointment, the opening of our Munich office and the establishment of a German team are each significant steps in furthering our mission to unleash the full economic potential of digital media businesses worldwide.

  • Companies such as Samsung Electronics have licensed technology

Now web heavyweights such as Google and Facebook want to mix their own. That threatens to eat into the profits of large internet construction companies such as Intel and Cisco Systems. Smartly, the latter aren't just going to let the market drive off without them.

Google and Facebook buy so much tech equipment that it makes sense for them to design their own. This enables them to save money and run their websites more efficiently. Both design their own servers, for instance,Our Managed MileWeb Private Cloud and Virtual Dedicated Servers. of which Google has over a million worldwide, IDC estimates. Besides servers, Facebook designs much of its own storage hardware while Google also designs its own network switches, says IDC.

Now both these firms are pursuing projects that could help them sidestep Intel and Cisco, two hardware manufacturers that dominate their respective markets, making gross profit margins of roughly 60 per cent in the process.

Google's project concerns chips.Below is our MileWeb Privacy Policy which incorporates these goals. It may make its own servers, but these come packed with expensive processors based on x86 technology from Intel and Advanced Micro Devices. Now, International Business Machines will license its own chip technology and has enlisted Google as a partner. Google will be able to use this to design chips for servers,Our cheap dedicated server are ready-to-go and can be deployed. storage and networking gear, thereby potentially reducing its dependence on Intel.

Facebook's latest project is in network switches. The social network wants to be able to customise them for its needs, but that isn't possible with "black box" switches off the shelf, says Facebook vice-president Frank Frankovsky. These have hardware and software that is tightly integrated. That is great for Cisco, as it can charge high prices for its gear, but less so for customers seeking more control. Facebook is, therefore, working with others to design a switch that decouples software and hardware.

Facebook and Google are just two customers, but their scale translates into gravity that may pull the market in their direction over time. While Cisco chief executive John Chambers has said his company "waited too long" to do so, it is now giving customers more control over their networking gear via software.

Intel, meanwhile, is already attempting to head off another threat in server chips. Companies such as Samsung Electronics have licensed technology from ARM Holdings in order to make server chips that are cheaper than Intel's designs and also consume less power. In response, Intel is releasing cheaper, more energy-efficient server chips of its own.

That both Intel and Cisco are responding to these nascent threats testifies to the disruptive impact they could have. It is sensible for the two firms to do so; tech firms that bury their heads in the sand tend to suffocate themselves. Still, by helping to bring alternative products to the markets, web giants could still put a choke-hold on the incumbents' profits.

  • The first platform was dominated by mainframes

We've heard it from IBM and all the major analyst companies: companies are no longer buying products; they are buying solutions. IT vendors that have depended on hardware sales for the bulk of their revenue are shifting to a more services-oriented style. Just two weeks ago, at the Avnet Compass conference for the business partners of that giant IT reseller, the services story was emphasized again and again. The way organizations consume IT is changing. Avnet is changing, too.

Avnet adapted. It began selling more software and services and the X86 business boomed. Fred Cuen, general manager of the IBM Solutions Group, was illustrating a point as he recalled those early days. Adapting to change is a requirement for survival in the IT business and in any business.

Change scares the bejeezus out of a lot of people. But this is not flip-the-switch change. This is gradual change. It often gets termed evolutionary change to distinguish it from revolutionary change. IBM, as an example, has been de-emphasizing its hardware manufacturing and emphasizing its Global Services for many years. Avnet, since November 2011, invested more than $400 million in the acquisition of 12 IT services-oriented companies. Services that are connected to the health of IT systems have always been a component of hardware sales. That hasn't changed. But the added ingredient, where the emphasis is being placed now, is with IT and business alignment and solving business problems. It's about applying more business brainpower.

There are multiple factors at work. The struggle to align business processes and information technology has gotten very complex. And many companies have reduced IT staff. Software has more built-in automation that allows companies to compensate for reduced IT headcounts. Services are put in place to reduce the complexity for the buyer. To a large degree, they are the new and improved skills and expertise that companies find in short supply in their own workforces.comprehensive MileWeb Operating System Software helps you integrate and optimize physical and virtual environments, Conquering complexity by renting IT and business skills are opportunities for those who possess the expertise.you have the ability to fully manage your MileWeb managed dedicated server are located in world-class data centers,

Avnet's adjustment can be seen with a quick glance at its revenue breakdown in IBM-related products and services in North America since the turn of the century. In 2001, hardware sales generated 81 percent of Avnet revenue, services--primarily tied to hardware--were 12 percent and software revenue was only 7 percent. By 2011, hardware revenue represented 54 percent of the Avnet pie and services and software had grown to each represent 23 percent of the revenue stream. The overall growth rate for hardware is slowly growing, but the rate of growth for software and services is much stronger. The North American market accounts for half of the revenue of Avnet's Technology Solutions group. The company's biggest push into software and services has occurred in that region. At the halfway point in fiscal year 2013, the worldwide carving of the revenue shows hardware contributing 61 percent of the revenue, with software at 20 percent and services at 19 percent. Hardware revenue is led by storage and followed by networking gear and servers.

Some segments of the hardware business have been under siege. In the server market, the Power Systems line has been on a slide since the majority of the enterprise customers upgraded to Power7 in 2012 and the year-over-year comparisons are really a comparison of the small to midsize spend this year compared to the enterprise spend from a year ago. And while the X86 market is no longer in decline, its razor thin profit margins makes it not the best business model for hardware-dependent resellers. Avnet's X86 business is being buoyed by strong growth in high-end systems.

By 2020, IDC forecasts that 98 percent of the growth in IT spending will attributable to the third platform technologies and those technologies will require massive application reinvestments. And it's just as important, Gillen says, to understand what this newest evolution of technology is not. It is not an architecture or a replacement for the current architectures and it is not going to invalidate most existing applications.

In the opening session at Avnet Compass,Which Popular Dedicated Server should you choose? Cuen noted that companies are looking for ways to adapt to the economic conditions and make their money stretch farther, which has led to a closer look at renting and comparing capital expenses with operational expenses.

Hardware costs for companies are being reduced by virtualization, the cloud, and anything as a service, which reduces--or sometimes eliminates--the need to buy hardware. Some IT directors are wondering whether they will have a data center in five years, Cuen told the audience of Avnet business partners.

Cuen also made note of another transition--this one in terms of the traditional IT decision-making process. Budgets for purchasing solutions, he noted, are more frequently coming from areas other than IT. And the decision on the hardware comes at the end of the discussion about how to reach the solution to the business problem.

  • The dedicated VMware vCenter Server

Cloud hosting company Rackspace Hosting is attempting to drive enterprises to hybrid clouds with the launch of a dedicated VMware vCenter Server while bolstering its drive to grow dedicated cloud-based services.
The VMware vCenter Server service is designed to help enterprises move to hybrid cloud computing by transferring existing VMware workloads from onsite datacentres to a Rackspace datacentre.
The company claims that enterprises will still maintain control and flexibility but will benefit from hybrid cloud technologies. It further states that the Rackspace hosted environment will look and feel like an extension of customer’s own datacentres due to the vCenter Server APIs and tools.
The dedicated VMware vCenter Server is an extension of Rackspace’s existing cloud services and adds depth to its managed virtualisation services. The company aims to enable customers to augment their on-site VMware deployments with Rackspace-managed private VMware environments in Rackspace datacentres.
Rackspace hosts one of the largest VMware environments and operates the largest OpenStack-based cloud. It has significant expertise in cloud and managed hosting, a 100% network uptime guarantee, and other services it claims enterprise customers can entrust their hybrid cloud infrastructure to.
The launch of a dedicated VMware vCenter Server signals a wider move for Rackspace to grow its dedicated cloud business. In its secoOur customized dedicated MileWeb windows dedicated server allow a tailor-made solution.nd quarter ended June 2013, the company saw 12.4% revenue growth for dedicated hosting to $276.m. Its public cloud business, however, grew by 36.4% to $99m.
Rackspace provides a full portfolio of hybrid hosting services including bare-metal dedicated servers, servers virtualised by VMware, and both public and private cloud services powered by OpenStack.
While those differences do distinguish high-end from less feature-laden systems, they tend not to be the key influence on the choice of build systems. The overwhelming factor in choice is the principal language in which the software was implemented. If you use C or C++, make or one of its derivatives is your tool. In Java, it's Ant or Maven. In Ruby, it's Rake. And so on. Few developers, if any, use make to build Ruby apps, for example. We all tend to stick to the natural choices in our own ecosystem.
Some programmers I respect, who recognize that the fundamental nature of build systems is to simply run a series of utilities to create a final package, use hand-coded shell scripts. They argue this approach provides some advantages: a uniform syntax for all projects regardless of language and complete portability across platforms. This is all true, but the approach sacrifices automation. Every step and every dependency must be hand-coded. And desirable tasks like checking mod dates or dependencies become complex activities.we can help you with most things MileWeb Customized Dedicated Server related.
The majority of dedicated build systems, until recently, have been target-and-dependency models. The build script identifies the dependencies and explains how to convert input to output. Ant and make (and their descendants) are archetypes of this approach. This design is cumbersome: The tools frequently lack the ability to test results and make intelligent decisions about what to do (as they could do in a shell script). Products like Gant (an elegant Groovy-based shell with scripting capabilities built around Ant) and Buildr can certainly help.
But the direction of modern build systems is toward the use of convention over configuration. Maven was the first widely used tool to exploit this approach. Code goes into known locations in a project; tests go in another standard directory; and simple instructions (alas, in XML) tell Maven what to do, but they don't identify most of the artifacts that are to be consumed. Conventions tell Maven where they are located. And Maven handles dependencies by downloading libraries automatically from Maven Central or other repositories.

  • This gives customers the flexibility

The Rackspace hosted VMware environment will look and feel like an extension of the customer’s own data centre by leveraging the same vCenter APIs utilised by their existing tools. Specifically, customers maintain control and management capabilities through the use of dedicated vCenter Servers, vCenter APIs, compatible third-party tools, and their existing service catalogues, orchestration platforms and portals. Customers can utilise their familiar orchestration tools to conveniently provision virtual machines (VMs) in minutes, while providing visibility into costs and usage whether on- or off-premise through a single user interface.

Rackspace hosts one of the largest VMware environments and operates the largest OpenStack-based cloud. With Rackspace’s significant expertise in cloud and managed hosting, a 100 percent network uptime guarantee, and Fanatical Support, enterprise customers can trust their hybrid cloud infrastructure, backed by an extensive service level agreement.

“This new service has been designed to enable customers to migrate workloads out of their data centre and into a Rackspace data centre. This allows Rackspace to do what we do best, which is providing a fully managed hybrid cloud hosting service backed by Fanatical Support with maximum uptime,” said John Engates, CTO at Rackspace. “Utilising Rackspace’s hybrid cloud portfolio gives customers the choice to find the best fit for their applications and workloads, all while offloading data centre management so that they can focus on their core business.we can help you with most things MileWeb Customized Dedicated Server related.”

Rackspace provides a full portfolio of hybrid hosting services including bare-metal Dedicated Servers, servers virtualised by VMware, and both Public and Private Cloud services powered by OpenStack. This gives customers the flexibility and choice to optimise their application portfolio, by providing a best-fit infrastructure approach to each application.

“Rackspace has taken another step toward addressing a diverse array of customer needs by expanding its service portfolio with Dedicated VMware vCenter Server. This new offering adds depth to the current managed virtualisation lineup, enabling customers to augment their on-site VMware deployments with Rackspace-managed private VMware environments in Rackspace data centres," said Melanie Posey, Research VP at IDC. “Rackspace runs one of the largest VMware environments, in addition to operating the largest OpenStack-based cloud, giving the infrastructure support expertise to help its customers on their journey to the hybrid cloud. Our customized dedicated MileWeb windows dedicated server allow a tailor-made solution."

If Australian companies were to virtualize their severs and physical infrastructure, $6 billion in costs could be saved from now to 2020, according to a new whitepaper by research firm IDC.

In the VMware sponsored whitepaper, Vision 2020: Virtualization’s Potential US$98 Billion Impact, IDC forecasts virtualization to save $2.99 billion in server spending, $2.15 billion in server admin costs, $0.84 billion in power and cooling and $0.04 billion in floor space by 2020.

Over the period 2003 to 2020, IDC predicts cost savings of $9.7 billion in Australia and $106 billion across the Asia Pacific region.

In addition, 6.4 million tonnes of CO2 could be avoided from 2003 to 2020 as a result of virtualization, according to IDC.Provision and deploy cloud MileWeb Public Cloud Servers in minutes.

The Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) also released a study that forecasts if most of the world’s enterprises were to take up cloud computing for their large-scale IT operations, it could abate about 9.1 gigatonnes of CO2 and save US$1.9 trillion in gross energy and fuel costs by 2020 – about 16 per cent of the total Eurozone debt today.

IDC also said there can be significant time savings for businesses that are trying to speed up their time to market with services.

“There are still a lot of people where it takes six months to deploy a service in a physical world and [with virtualization] some people can get that down to days.

“What this paradigm virtualisation enables you to do is to disaggregate that paradigm of one application, one operating system and one server instead of several,” said IDC analyst Matt Oostveen.

“If you’re the CMO and you go running into the CIO’s office and say ‘we need to deploy something very quickly’ if you have this old paradigm of [computing] you are not able to respond quick enough. That’s a big issue because the ROI expectations placed upon a CMO are really short, they are often less than six months.

  • The students created an organization

With a passion for helping kids, former Homer High School assistant principal Doug Waclawski didn’t hesitate to apply for and accept the job of principal when it came available.
Born and raised in Michigan, Waclawski said he hadn’t intended to get into education.
“While working toward a biology degree at Northern Michigan University, I signed up for an Elementary of Education Class because it sounded interesting,” Waclawski said. “I enjoyed it and decided to transition to an education degree.”
After graduating with an elementary education degree in 1993, Waclawski took his first teaching job in Winslow, Ariz.
“I taught second grade and was the technology coordinator for the district,” he said. “I wrote grants and was in charge of the network, emails and the maintenance of the server. I also filled in as principal.”
Waclawski continued teaching in Winslow for three years, before returning to Michigan. There, he received his degree in education leadership from Grande Valley Michigan University in 2002.
Waclawski then went on to teach in Vanderbilt, Mich. until 2006, when he and Michelle decided to work and travel overseas. While looking for work abroad, Waclawski accepted a job in Alaska.
“I was offered a position in Seoul, Korea and in Palestine, but we were already on our way to Alaska,” he said. “The school that I would have been working at in Palestine has since been bombed, so coming to Alaska may have actually saved our lives.”
Moving to Homer,Our managed dedicated server are designed to meet the most demanding requirements for performance, Waclawski was first a principal and teacher at Razdolna, one of the Russian communities in the area.
Waclawski said he appreciates strong family upbringing and dedicated parents who care about their children’s education.
“Working at this school was a great introduction to Alaska,” said Waclawski. “The kids were so good. This was the first place I taught where I could just teach. I didn’t have to police the students as well.”
“Kids are always laughing and joking. Homer High has a great, positive culture, but kids can still make poor decisions,” he said. “Last fall, a couple of students got in trouble at an off-campus party. This caused negative press about the school.”
Rather than let this incident define them, the students themselves took action.
“The students created an organization called Colors of Homer,” Waclawski said. “This provides an outlet for students to express their creativity. Born out of the idea to ‘create, don’t hate’, CoH invites students and community members to gather to support one another in diverse and creative ways of being. Students may exhibit visual art, recite poetry, perform music, tell jokes, sell home-made culinary arts and more.Integrating your Promotion Dedicated Server business solutions.”
“A good teacher is a person with a strong desire to help kids and who wants to have a positive effect on their lives,” he said.most MileWeb Popular Dedicated Server providers and read user reviews of their products, “Between good teachers and supportive parents, we can provide these kids with an outstanding education.”
Doug and Michelle just celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary and are raising two teenagers. Aurora is 15 and attends Homer High and Denver is 13 and attends Homer Middle School. The Waclawski family loves Homer and are very active in outdoor activities like hiking, camping and four-wheeling.
“This is a great community and a wonderful place to raise kids,” said Waclawski.
While already active in his duties as principal for the coming school year, Waclawski said he and the staff are excited to see the students come through the door.

  • which shows how well the entered password is constructed

Perceptive Automation, the leading provider of Mac-based home automation software, today is proud to announce the immediate availability of Indigo 6, an update to the company's intelligent home control and automation server for Mac OS X. With Indigo, users can easily monitor and control lights, appliances, thermostats, lawn sprinklers and dozens of other items found in the home, thereby helping to reduce energy usage.

New with this release is support for many Z-Wave lighting, appliance, thermostat, and sensor devices. Z-Wave devices, which are widely available worldwide, are a significant step forward in technology for those outside of North America who have had to rely on X10 or other older solutions to meet their automation needs.

"I know the INSTEON world has had this for a long time, but being able to poll devices and know what state they are, along with the incredibly reliable communications, is such a steep improvement from the X10 world where most devices can only receive commands. Z-Wave is brilliant for that and it's thanks to Indigo that we can now leverage it," said Indigo customer Nic Barnes from England.

"Indigo's Z-Wave support enables Mac users, especially international users in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, to finally realize the benefits of an advanced home automation solution," said Jay Martin, a partner at Perceptive Automation. "While X10, along with similar technologies, have provided automation solutions to our international customers, none of those protocols were as capable and reliable as Z-Wave. The additional benefit is that Z-Wave devices are available from a variety of vendors which allows for many device styles and capabilities."

Indigo can seamlessly integrate devices of any supported protocol together in a technology independent way, and can do so simultaneously. Z-Wave and INSTEON, along with X10 and 3rd party plugin-based devices, coexist harmoniously in a single environment.most MileWeb Popular Dedicated Server providers and read user reviews of their products, Users are free to pick and choose the devices that solve their automation needs without regard to protocol. For instance, a user can use an IP-based thermostat, Z-Wave, INSTEON,your Pre-build Cloud Servers in a ready made environment. and Philips Hue lights, and INSTEON or X10 keypads, motion sensors, and sprinklers - in a single easy-to-use interface.

Other new features include expanded INSTEON support for many new and updated INSTEON devices including the Leak Sensor, Smoke Bridge, and DIN Rail modules. A new Virtual Device interface makes it easier for users to integrate other devices and services and to create cross-technology scenes. New energy monitoring capabilities, for both whole house and for individual lights and appliances, have been added since energy monitoring and reporting has become a key aspect to home automation systems.

Another area of focus in this release is improved usability. Users will now find a more unified experience with more context sensitive help. Indigo now includes more device specific in-application help links to online documentation, which includes device information, usage tips, and a community forum section where users can discuss their experiences with a specific device. Additional context sensitive menus have been added, including a detailed dependency report and object shortcut references for simplifying writing Indigo scripts.

Server security has been improved with the addition of a visual password strength indicator, which shows how well the entered password is constructed. Also, more prominent warning dialogs have been added to alert the user if they configure the server in an insecure way, encouraging them to fully enable secure authentication. Reliability and performance improvements have also been made to the installer, Prism reflector service, and plugin sandbox architecture.

Indigo continues to foster a thriving 3rd party ecosystem, with 40 plugins available spanning diverse categories such as Alarm integration, A/V components, presence and location tracking, weather data integration, advanced events and notification, alongside a wide variety of IP-based devices and other home automation technology support. The plugin API has been enhanced to support several new types of hardware as well as to more directly integrate plugin devices, events, and actions into the user experience. This usability enhancement means users will now find plugin functionality in the UI directly alongside built-in functionality.

"We are thrilled to be able to offer our customers a Mac-based home automation solution that supports many common Z-Wave devices," said Matt Bendiksen, founder of Perceptive Automation. • These people can be monitored more easily

The Pentagon started the push long before Snowden began spilling secrets about the NSA. But the massive leak has reinforced the need to consolidate its tens of thousands of networks down to about 3,000 -- and its hundreds of data centers to 14 to 17 sites around the globe. These new networks will be easier to operate, upgrade and monitor for data theft, Pentagon officials promise.
However, "we don't really know what the up-front cost is yet, because we're still getting the plans in place," DOD Chief Information Officer Teri Takai told Killer Apps. "We'll need to shift some monies up front but, over the course of the and we're still trying to figure out how long it's going to take -- we believe that we're going to recover that up front cost and then have significant savings."
DOD's current collection of networks were built up over last few decades on an ad hoc basis. However, many of these separate networks connect to each other, meaning that poor security on one of these small networks can allow a hacker to access the rest with relative ease. Making matters worse it that it's very hard to quickly monitor them for cyber attacks due to the sheer volume of networks, many of which have their own individual configurations.
This chaotic digital infrastructure also makes it way too easy for someone on the inside to steal information. Case in point: Edward Snowden, the NSA contract systems administrator who lifted highly classified files from agency servers using nothing but a thumb drive. When Snowden took the files, NSA systems administrators had special authorization to pull data off of agency servers using thumb drives in order to transfer information to another netwour standard Customized Dedicated Server may not always.ork or backup data. Our managed dedicated server are designed to meet the most demanding requirements for performance, The problem is, no one was monitoring to see what data the systems administrators were pulling.
In the wake of the Snowden affair, the military is restricting the use of thumb drives and is trimming the number of systems administrators, and requiring them to operate in pairs when accessing server rooms. These short-term solutions are too cumbersome, say military officials. What's needed is a system that allows people to easily share information while making sure it is protected at the same time.
"It is the main reason we need to jump to the Joint Information Environment," said NSA chief, Army Gen. Keith Alexander while discussing post-Snowden security needs during the Aspen Security Forum last month. Under JIE, the military will encrypt individual pieces of data instead of just putting it behind firewalls where it is vulnerable to theft by insiders.
When asked by Killer Apps if the move to a massive cloud will simply make a bigger, easier target for outside hackers, Takai replied, "if people think JIE is going be vulnerable, they actually don't understand how vulnerable their networks are today."
In theory, people who are supposed to have access to certain data on the JIE will be given an online ID confirming they are who they claim to be and that they are allowed to view specific pieces of information. Those pieces of data are also tagged to prove they aren't malware and they will generate a list of everyone who has ever touched them. This means that it will be tougher for outsiders and insiders alike to illegally access DOD's digital information.
Furthermore,Migrating a MileWeb Promotion Dedicated Server or cloud server from one provider to another is easy. going to a smaller number of standardized networks and data centers will mean the military needs "fewer people that actually have the keys to get in" like systems administrators. These people can be monitored more easily than the large numbers of system administrators operating thousands of disparate networks can.
While moving to fewer networks and data centers won't be perfect, it will be "far better than a heterogeneous environment if you want to protect your systems," because it makes it much easier to monitor them "and thereby do much better protection," Allen Paller, founder of the SANS Institute, told Killer Apps in an email.

  • There were five out of six scheduled launches

The Great Falls Balloon Festival ended Sunday with nine balloons floating off into the sunset after what was described as a “record year” by one official.

The weather cooperated, she said. “We haven’t been able to launch six out of six launch windows in the last twelve years,” she said, noting that last year, there were five out of six scheduled launches.

Noonan reported that this year, the food booths’ business was up 25 percent over the last few years, and attendance was beyond what organizers have seen in the past. Although the final numbers won’t be available for a couple of weeks, Noonan declared this year a “record-breaker.”

Noonan expressed gratitude to the many volunteers, sponsors and others who came out to see the balloons.

Sunday morning at the festival was a family fun day, with music, face-painting and Mad Science.

A woman in a lab coat ran feverishly quick science experiments, asking a large group of children for their theories before explaining why the blue liquid turned clear or why the gummy bear went up like a roman candle when lit on fire.

Bill Hunter manned a truck full of rubber ducks by the canal, awaiting the arrival of heavy equipment from K&K Excavation to dump the floating birds into the canal at noon for a fundraising race.

The annual race is sponsored by the Auburn-Lewiston Rotary Breakfast Club, and ducks go on sale a month before the festival. According to Hunter, the money raised goes back into the community, with an emphasis on children at risk.

Checking over his gear Sunday, ballooner Derald Young of Damn Yankee Balloons in Dixfield seemed pleased with this year’s conditions.

At the Auburn American Legion food stand, the Beaulieu family worked the first shift. According to Linda Beaulieu, members of the family,Our managed dedicated server are designed to meet the most demanding requirements for performance, including Della, our standard Customized Dedicated Server may not always. Donald, Marc, Diane, Shane and post Chaplain Dennis, are all veterans.

She said the proceeds were much better than last year’s, citing a great weekend turnout which caused the group to even run out of lime rickies Saturday night.Migrating a MileWeb Promotion Dedicated Server or cloud server from one provider to another is easy.

For the festival, DuShane offered a guided trip on a rubber raft to see the falls, experience some Class II rapids downriver and to see the evening balloon launch.

“It’s been a real hard start,” DuShane said, explaining that it’s not only the rain that hindered his business, but the rise in water levels for days following the deluge.

Despite a slow beginning, DuShane said there is still plenty of interest from paddlers who are overcoming old perceptions of the Androscoggin’s industrial legacy and seeing its recreational value.

Hartnett said she worked the festival the last couple of years and sees the business it draws into the restaurant, rain or shine.

The launch came as cameras, phones and iPads were held aloft. On the ground, a second wave of balloons were rolled out — baskets were wheeled in and ropes were strung through the crowds, which were cleared out before the fires were lit.

Auburn City Councilor Mary LaFontaine was in attendance for the evening launch and acknowledged there was some friction in Auburn about whether to be part of this year’s festivities.
